From the outside, you might think that I have cracked being a business owner and entrepreneur - it’s an easy assumption to make given that I am a business strategist making a career out of demonstrating to other female business owners how they can achieve success. 

But it hasn’t always been this way! 

I was always a high performer and climbed the corporate ladder. I was the definition of ‘traditional success.’

But one day everything fell apart and I burnt out. Tired of trying to keep up with someone else’s idea of success and my own high standards, I walked away from my life as I knew it and my corporate career to take a career break. 

I had no idea what my future would look like.

But one thing that felt utterly essential was that in my next professional chapter, I needed to make a meaningful contribution and a positive impact.

With the right conditions, that seed evolved and grew over the next few years into a thriving conscious coaching business. 

But what is Conscious Business?

Understanding the Conscious Business Model

Conscious business is more than just a buzzword. It’s a holistic approach that brings together four areas: Purpose, Profit, People and Planet.

It means viewing your business through all four lenses simultaneously, allowing you to foster a sustainable and positive impact while achieving your business goals.

Likely, you’re already adopting this philosophy as a consumer - you make purchases from businesses that align with your values. Cruelty-free, free-range, and organic are familiar terms we look for when choosing beauty products, household items and food.

It’s no wonder that more and more entrepreneurs are choosing to create businesses that serve as vehicles to fulfil their sense of mission and purpose as well.

Ultimately they are creating businesses to make the world a better place.

My passion for conscious business coaching stems from a deep belief in its potential to create a positive ripple effect.

The more people that embody the ethos of running a conscious business, the wider the ripple becomes.

As a coach and business strategist, it enables me to create an ethical and meaningful impact by enabling and empowering founders, entrepreneurs and business owners to succeed and as they do so, make the world a better place. 

But it’s far more than just my belief. Research shows it’s a strong commercial strategy as 66% of customers are willing to pay more when a company supports a social or environmental cause. 

Harvard Business Review reported companies that practice ‘Conscious Capitalism’ perform up to 10 times better.

The tides are turning and conscious consumers and customers want to make conscious choices. 

The Path to Becoming a Conscious Business Coach

My journey to becoming a conscious business coach began with a deep desire to make a difference in the world through my own business. 

In 2014, I experienced a breakdown directly linked to physical, mental and emotional burnout in my corporate career. Working as a Senior Leader in Financial Services, I felt lost and alone in an old and outdated system, that prioritised profit over people and purpose. 

This lack of alignment with my values took its toll on my mental health and motivation. I desperately needed to feel like I was making a difference and that my work contributed to raising the consciousness of humanity. I wanted to ‘be the change’ I wanted to see in the world. 

As a well-established coach with over 20 years of experience, I knew that supporting people to unlock their unique potential and by doing so, conceive and birth businesses, was the most meaningful contribution I could make in my lifetime. I have since been blessed to work with hundreds of clients, helping them to achieve their vision and create profitable, purpose-led businesses.
